Most of the individual
instruments produced by MS Instruments Plc can be integrated
into a central control computer. The options below give an
indication of some common system configurations.
All of the measuring
equipment produced by the Company has an integral
microprocessor. This enables the units to communicate digitally
by cable, radio or other telemetry link to the Range Processor.
The MSI Ballistic Control Software is developed inhouse for the
control of all sensor systems produced by the Company.
The MS Instruments PLC Pressure
Measurement Unit is a compact, sealed
unit which - in conjunction with the Timer Unit type 817 - is an
integrated
unit used to gather data for complete ballistics analysis.
The MS Instruments PLC Ballistic
Data Acquisition System is an integrated unit, which is used to
gather data for complete ballistics analysis
The Ballistic Data System (BDS)
has been designed as a fully integrated system which allows
projectile coordinate, velocity and rate of fire measurements to
be recorded automatically. In addition, the system can be used
to calculate the Ballistic coefficient automatically when three
Optical Detectors and the electronic scales are supplied.
A Range Layout showing typical
instrumentation is currently under construction. This page will
be available shortly
The Meteorological Station type
574 is usually supplied with a full range system. Although a
simple unit is available for indoor use which provides
temperature, pressure and humidity, the type 574 is a highly
advanced unit designed for outdoor use
